Create a permanent installation centered on self-discovery, transformation, and emotional reflection, while subtly honoring the spirit of inclusivity, acceptance, and safety within an LGBTQ+ affirming space.
the artwork
Designed as an evolving visual experience, the installation continuously shifts through light, color, and perspective. Integrated lighting beneath the piece changes throughout the day, allowing the work to transform depending on movement, viewing angle, and atmosphere within the space.
Conceptually, the piece reflects the ongoing journey of becoming — moving through shadow, vulnerability, self-inquiry, release, and renewal. Layers of translucency, reflection, and illumination symbolize the process of shedding, healing, and reconnecting with one’s inner light after periods of introspection and growth.
Both delicate and commanding, the installation balances softness with intensity, serving as a quiet yet powerful monument to identity, acceptance, and the ever-changing nature of self.

Not only does the piece itself shift and change colors but the suspended sun catchers also cast moving rainbows and prismatic reflections throughout the room — extending the artwork beyond its physical form and transforming the surrounding space into part of the experience.
